Hey friends, welcome back to another mini-sode. What did you think of the episode with Tracy Ripley? I can't get over how she found out that her son had a congenital heart defect. God is so good and the way he works is amazing. I mean, I look at my life, all the stupid mistakes that I had made in it, and I can still see where God was working, where he was trying to pull me back, where he was keeping me safe and protecting me from things. I mean to deny that God exists, when you've seen something in your life so profound like she did, the nurse who was helping, who happened to have a child who had the same problem. And this wasn't even her regular nurse. She was not supposed to be there, she was just there. God is so good, he does not waste anything, he is amazing and he deserves all the glory in all of our lives. All the time I'm just, I'm in awe of who God is Like.
Speaker 1:I said I have grown up in the church. I knew all the things, but I didn't follow him very well in my younger years and I made terrible mistakes that I knew were mistakes. They were wrong. In the Bible you look it up it said don't do this. I did it anyways. And yet God was still faithful to me and he still stuck near me enough to protect me, to keep me safe. And he's still, to this day, doing what he said he would do, which is never leave me or forsake me.
Speaker 1:When I was on my own after my second divorce, all I had was God, and he was all I needed. He told me trust me, sweetums. He didn't call me sweetums, I don't know where that came from, but anyway he said trust me, anna, I will be there for you, I will take care of you. It is my turn to show you that I love you and I will take care of you. And I chose to stay in Connecticut, even though I didn't have any family here. I chose to trust God that he meant what he said, that he would take care of me. And he has not stopped even to this day. Glory to God for that.
Speaker 1:I have a wonderful husband, beautiful, healthy children. I am healthy. I am mentally healthy. I am freed from my addiction to pornography. I am growing each and every day.
Speaker 1:God is working on me. He's working on my anger. He's working on all the areas where I have never let him in before, but I have finally surrendered and said you know what, I can't do it. And if you aren't there yet, here is your question why? Why are you not there yet?
Speaker 1:Look in your life and see where God has been faithful to you and he has done things for you and marvel at that. Marvel at what he has done in your life before and then trust him with something new today. Look at where he might be calling you out of something and surrender and allow him to work. In that you will have a beautiful story on the other side of that, even if it's through pain and struggle like Tracy had to go through with her son and his condition. But now he is a grown, almost teenager, and he's able to do things that the doctor said he couldn't do, which was another area that I was just in awe of. They kept saying he'll never be able to play sports and he plays basketball. Come on, give God the glory he deserves.
Speaker 1:But seriously, if you are in a situation where you don't feel that you can trust God, look back in your life where good things have happened to you and I dare you to not notice that God was there, helping you through that, even if you didn't believe in him at the time, even if you didn't know he was there. Look at it now, where you are spiritually and see, open your eyes and truly see where he has actually been working, and you are going to find that he is going to blow your socks off with all the times that he was there, even when you didn't think he was. So, with that, I'm going to leave you for this mini-sode. Have a wonderful day, god bless.
