Welcome back to another mini-sode. What did you guys think of this week's episode? Were you really annoyed when you saw that it was going to be about COVID? I sure hope not, because, honestly, a lot of good things came out of COVID. I know that might be a touchy subject or might just sound like a stupid statement, but I do believe a lot of good things came out of COVID, despite all the terrible, the corruption, all the things we could easily do an episode on talking about the different ways that things went wrong.

Speaker 0:

But let's focus today on the good things that came out of COVID, whose eyes were open to the corruption of the school systems, the medical systems, the government systems, how they've twisted history, the things they've told us that may or may not have been accurate. I mean, let's go into the spiritual side of this. There have been many people who have come back to Christ. During the COVID pandemic they had nothing else to do except for listen to sermons, do deep dives on certain things and learn new things and study things that maybe they had once forgotten. People's marriages were healed. Yes, some of them broke down as well, but some were healed because they had no option but to work on their problems. Lives were changed for the better as well as not for the better. I am well aware of that. I heard the stories. I saw the riots. I heard things. I know that COVID was not puppy dogs and rainbows for everybody, or even a majority of the population, but we do need to focus on the good things that came out of it.

Speaker 0:

If you listen to people's testimonies especially recently a lot of the podcasters I listen to when they have guests on, a lot of times they say you know, my change happened during 2020 or this happened for me during 2020. I know you've heard me mention her before Jen Niza. She came out of the new age around COVID as well. But just listen to different people's stories. Ask somebody what is your story or how did COVID change you for the better? And just let them tell you that and I guarantee someone is going to say something negative and be like oh, it didn't change me at all, it was horrible. But if it's someone that you know well and you can press them on it, give them a challenge to come up with something positive. There's got to be at least one positive thing that came out of it, even in the midst of something really dark. Let's not forget what Jomel said in his episode. His wife was in a coma. He was a new father, raising his child on his own. But listen to his perspective on it. We can all have that perspective. It's not hard. It seems hard in the moment, but we're out of the pandemic. We can take a step back and we can look back hindsight 2020, and we can see where God was working in us, in our government, in our circles. We would just know where God's been working. So this is your challenge for this week Find something positive that happened to you or a family member during COVID.

I had my fourth child. I had her before COVID actually started, before the lockdowns, so we got some really good bonding time with her and, as stressful as it was that my husband was out of work, it was good to have him home and to be able to share that time with him, with our family. Even though we really couldn't go anywhere, we had some good times. Yes, I did some deep dives on a lot of different things. That's how I learned about the corruption within the Christian realm, within the government, the medical systems. It's completely opened my eyes to what the school systems are doing and it really catapulted me into learning more about this and not just going through life blind believing everything I hear, which is so important that we don't just do that. We have to know what the Bible says, we have to listen to trustworthy sources and if you don't know what those trustworthy sources is, you've got to find them. You've got to find who's talking truth, and I did a lot of that during COVID. There was really not much else to do, but yeah, I mean those are the positive things that came out of. I mean those are the positive things that came out of it for me.

What are the positive things that came out of COVID for you?

Speaker 0:

And if you are really having a hard time thinking of something positive, you can go to my website, honestchristianconversationscom. Go to the navigation up top, click on contact and share a prayer request with me and I will pray for you so that I can hopefully help get you to a place where you feel you can look back on COVID and find that positive, bright side where God was working, because I guarantee that it's there, even in the midst of, maybe, loss. So I understand it was tragic, it was hard. All the masking, the masking of the kids, the mandatory shots, all these things. I know that they are difficult, I get it, but God was still with us. He was still there for you and you have to look past the darkness and look into the light of Jesus Christ. So that's your challenge for this week Look into the light of Jesus Christ and figure out where he was working in COVID and share those stories. Share those encouraging stories with people. Share them with me. Honestchristianconversationscom. Slash contact. I look forward to hearing from you, until next time.
