Speaker 1:

Hey friends, welcome back to another mini-sode. What did you think of this episode I did with Cassie and Bellino. I love her candor, her openness and honesty about the struggles that she had coming to faith. How many of us can relate with that? I know I can. That's why I said in the beginning of the episode I did with her that I just felt simpatic. Did with her that I just felt simpatico with her. I just felt like we were the same. I get what she was saying. I have been there. I have felt confused. I have wondered why this? Why should I be doing this? Why shouldn't I be doing this?

Speaker 1:

Did you enjoy hearing the part where she was discussing why she wanted to stop her sexual activity with her boyfriend? I thought that was a really profound moment. It was a very aha moment for me I don't know if it was for you where she was just vulnerable with God telling him how she felt. I love this, but I know you don't Help me to understand it from your perspective. That is such a powerful prayer that we can do, not just with sexual sin, but with alcohol, drugs, anger, gluttony, gossip. This was a very pivotal moment for me. It really changed my perspective on how to talk to God and how I can ask him for help, how I can come to him with my questions. He's not going to, as Cassian said, he's not going to burn you for it. His word actually asks us to come to him. If we have need for knowledge, if we want to know him deeper, if we want to know things, we need to ask him for that knowledge. So she just came humbly and asked for the knowledge of why I shouldn't be doing this thing and please show me how to hate it, the way that you do Such a humble and honest prayer that we all can do in our lives.

Speaker 1:

I enjoyed the conversation. I hope you did too. If you haven't listened to it yet, make sure you go back and listen to it. It is a great conversation. Also, check out her podcast. Biblically Speaking, she does have some great guests and it's so full of knowledge that maybe you didn't even know about or didn't know that you wanted to know about. So definitely check out her podcast Before we go.

Speaker 1:

My question for you is like Kazian, what in your life do you need to have that kind of surrender to? It's a question that I'm still having to wrestle with, even to this day. I have made great strides in my anger, especially since having her on and trying to implement this kind of attitude in my prayer life, but I know there's still things that I could work on that I will work on, that I have to work on. So what is yours, what is God telling you right now? You need to stop doing this and you're having such a hard time stopping it because it feels so good. You enjoy it. What is that?

Speaker 1:

Whatever it is, be honest and be vulnerable with God and tell him. Tell him the truth. Like Cassian said in the episode, she loved her sin. We have to be open and honest. We love our sin, otherwise we would not be doing it still. Am I right? You know I'm right. So we have to be honest and we have to tell God that, because he already knows. But once we admit it, then we can start working on it, because that's what you do when you have an addiction, when you have a problem you call it out and that makes it real in your mind and then you can do something about it. So be real with God today. He already knows. So you just need to be real with him and tell him I like this. I know you don't Help me to hate it as much as you do and show me why you don't like it. That is a heart posture we all need in everyday life. Thanks for listening. I hope you have a wonderful week. God bless.
